Package transshipment compensation standards:
Our company will not compensate for loss, shortage, damage or delay of mail during delivery due to reasons not caused by our company. We are not liable for indirect losses and unrealized benefits. Please refer to the package compensation standards for details.
We are not liable for compensation in the following circumstances:
- Due to force majeure (except insured mail).
- If the items sent violate the prohibition or restriction regulations, they will be confiscated by the competent authority or dealt with in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
- When delivered, the mail package is intact and shows no signs of disassembly, and the weight has not been reduced but the internal parts are missing or damaged.
- The recipient has signed for receipt according to the prescribed procedures.
- The mail is lost or delayed due to the customer's responsibility or the items themselves.
- The customer fails to inquire or make a claim for compensation from the date of handing in the mail to the expiration of the inquiry period.
- International mail is detained, confiscated or destroyed by the country of destination in accordance with its domestic laws.
Prohibited items
Items prohibited from mail delivery
- Items prohibited from circulation or delivery by national laws and regulations;
- Explosive, flammable, corrosive, radioactive, toxic and other dangerous goods;
- Reactionary newspapers, books, windows or obscene materials;
- Various currencies;
- Items that harm public health;
- Perishable items;
- Live animals (except bees, silkworms, and leeches whose packaging can ensure the safety of delivery and staff);
- Items that are improperly packaged and may endanger personal safety, contaminate or damage other mail equipment;
- Other items that are not suitable for postal delivery.
Postal practice prohibits delivery
- The nature of the item or its packaging is suspected of harming postal service personnel or damaging mail or postal equipment.
- Metal buttons for sealing and other items with sharp edges that may interfere with mail processing.
- Various types of firearms, ammunition, explosive items, flammable items, corrosive items, radioactive elements and containers, potent poisons, anesthetic drugs, biochemical products and infectious items.
- Various publications, promotional materials, printed materials, etc. that endanger social security and stability and are obscene.
- Various items that harm public health.
- Documents or items that are prohibited from entry or circulation by the other party.
- In addition to the above general regulations, the relevant regulations of the customs department should also be followed.
Postal regulations in Taiwan prohibit delivery
- The nature of the item or its packaging is suspected of harming postal service personnel or damaging mail or postal equipment.
- Metal buttons for sealing and other items with sharp edges that may interfere with mail processing.
- Flammable, explosive or other dangerous items. However, if the registration institution uses special methods to package perishable biological materials sent to each other, and the relevant competent authorities have issued transportation vouchers, they are not subject to this restriction.
- Live animals. However, bees, silkworms, leeches, parasites sent to each other by registered agencies or insects used to eliminate pests are not subject to this restriction.
- Radioactive items.
- Opium, morphine and other narcotic substances. However, if the transportation voucher is issued by the relevant competent department or documented by the judicial authority or judicial police agency, it is used for litigation evidence and is sent to each other as insured or declared value packages, or as insured packages for medicine or scientific research, and is sent to the bureau after Permitted items are not subject to this restriction.
- Documents or items that are obscene and harmful to public morals. However, if it is certified in writing by the judicial authority or the judicial police department as evidence for litigation, it will not be subject to this restriction if it is sent to each other by registered letter or package.
- Documents or items that are prohibited from entering the place of destination.
- Documents or items whose sale and manufacture are prohibited by the relevant competent authorities in Taiwan. However, if it is certified in writing by the judicial authority or the judicial police department as evidence for litigation, it will not be subject to this restriction if it is sent to each other by registered letter or package.
- Lottery and lottery-related advertising flyers. However, if it is certified in writing by the judicial authority or the judicial police department as evidence for litigation, it will not be subject to this restriction if it is sent to each other by registered letter or package.
